It’s here at long last! The 2013 ToRD season opener hits the track Saturday March 2nd, with a double header so you’re guaranteed to see some action from your favorite home team.
First up, the Death Track Dolls will challenge the 2012 Boot holders the Chicks Ahoy at 6pm on the track. This show stopper is followed by a clash of leopard and blue as the Gore Gore Rollergirls take on the Smoke City Betties.
Doors at 5pm, first bout at 6pm. Tickets are on sale now both in stores and online! Buy in advance to save. This is also your final opportunity to purchase a seasons pass; discounted for the remaining games this year! If you came to the Feb 2nd bout, love it, and want to upgrade your ticket to a pass, just bring proof of purchase (ticket stub, online receipt) from the Feb 2nd game to the door and you will be able to buy an upgrade.
The 2013 program will be revealed on March 2nd, as will the 2013 trading cards – ohh la la! Full of colour, roller derby facts, and information about your favorite teams, the 2013 programs and trading cards are a limited time only memorial of your trip to the Bunker.
Concerned because this lines up with dinner time? We can help with that! We’ve lined up some awesome eats for the evening, to get your taste on! On Saturday night your stomachs will be sated by Fidel Gastro (extreme cuban sandwiches) and The Feisty Jack (gastofare, sweets, British pastries).
The Official after party for the ToRD home season opener will be hosted by the Velvet Underground! Bring yourself, your dancing shoes, and your wristband (proof of purchase, name drop Toronto Roller Derby at the door) down to Velvet Underground (510 Queen St W) after the bout and party it up with our roller girls.
